I am very satisfied with this mat. it is a bit heavier than other travel mats.
As a perk on my end, it was great to see my kids test it too. I'm 5'10 and the 79 are a great upgrade compared to the 68 mats i used before. Will last you a lifetime of yoga practice.
For those hesitating about this model, you can go ahead and trust the 700+ reviews who rated it as almost perfect. Sure, it makes it a tad more heavier than a traditional yoga mat, but i don’t mind carrying it with me.
Cons
It is the most slippery mat i have ever practiced on. This is unacceptable and hinders my practice. I'm certainly not dripping sweat, either, it's just my palms and soles of feet get moist. It completely distracts from yoga class.

I would hate to see the pro because i find this one quite heavy but not combersome its just a lot thicker and heavier than im used to it is a bit slippery in downward facing dog but obviously needs to be broken in there is a way to start to break it in with salt if you desire

This may be me as a beginner however i used one of the studio mats lululemon and didnt have this issue

But despite 2 sea salt treatments and 50 classes i still find my hands slip on it

Over the past 20 years or so i have purchased many mats from the 20 100 price range and all of them show signs of wear within a few months of use
