The tiller starts on the first pull, is easy to maneuver in small spaces and tight turns, and does an excellent job in fluffing the soil. Started on first pull and everytime thereafter. Soooo much easier to start/run.

Mantis replaces my old 25+ year old 3 hp tiller that died. It is spendy but it really works great & the honda 4 * make this tiller worth the investment. Honda is unbeatable for quality and reliability.



Cons

Tiller just bounces up and down and will not * the soil. Told by customer service that only breakage is covered by the warranty.

This rototiller was advertised as easy to start. The plug is at the rear of the engine, because this engine is rotated 90 degrees towards the rear. The wiring is exposed to the dripping oil and finally broke off totally.

The clips that hold on the wheels are not of the best quality and may likely fall off. I suspect repeated removal will loosen then and then you have to get replacements. Frankly this is a very poor design factor since wheel removal is a frequent occur...  Read More
