Pros & Cons
Pros
The 21 watt charging panel works great for charging my phone on the go. Connecting my phone to the usb charger does work. I think some other portable power stations like the jackery use this same connector.
The cell has a fabric pocket with the usb connector and a coax port inside. It has a nice built-in pouch for storing your phone or whatever you're charging, and/or the array of adapters it came with for powering/charging a myriad of devices.
The 21-watt panel is a common build made with a canvas stitched around the panels. It gets brighter as it produces more. At the price (around $130 at the time of this writing) the price is reasonable given the quality.
The charger features grommets for a convenient way to connect it to a backpack or tent, and it comes with four carabiners. The eyelets are also large enough to fit even chunky carabiner clips. It comes with many adapters for the large battery generato... Read More
Cons
The setup is not intuitive. When barely adjusting to sun angle it resets to zero. Only works as a charger when in direct sunlight.
Highlights
Quality
This solar panel is well made and meets its specifications.
This portable solar panel seems well made and well designed.
Don’t expect it to be a fast charger but with actual direct sunlight it charges my phone and my portable charger in less than 6 hours
I have a pixel 6 pro and even on shade it was able to detect something but not charge very well.
Price
It feels a little pricey for 21w, but this does a great job of providing usb charging power when used appropriately.
This affordable solar panel has been a fantastic addition to my outdoor gear, providing reliable charging on the go.
50 per watt whereas this one is $2.
In early may, 2024, i paid $44 for it.
Shipping
By the time we arrive at our destination a few hours later, everything is charged up and ready to go.
Packaging/appearance
In either case the cell is packaged very nicely and is a great solution for emergency recharging or light traveling.
But i will say after unboxing and unpacking everything i noticed that it was generating power in my kitchen under low light conditions!
The box has a red light that glows when it is receiving light and generating power.
I haven't used it yet but it looks nice
Competitiveness
Compare that to my "28-watt" panel that never output more than 6.
While marketed as 21w, my eb3a was only able to muster 15w out of it with what i consider a reasonable mppt controller (it's be... Read More
The 60 watts marbero panels have some weight but not as the 120w panel that i have.
I think some other portable power stations like the jackery use this same connector.
