Pros & Cons
Pros
Watts in full sun is plenty to recharge your cell phone or other devices like a flashlight that would normally charge from a cell phone charger. Works for phone, tablet, and switch which it does! No issue charging my portable power station, my phone a... Read More
This 21w panel is a nice unit. It feels a little pricey for 21w. The panels themselves are rated to provide up to 21 watts, but realistically that's got to depend on how much sunlight the panels are exposed to.
The 5521 to mc4 connector converts the panel to a standard mc4 power output panel. It has usb as well as 18v dc barrel jack. Three cable adapters are also included for various solar generator charging interfaces. Comes with 1 cord with the adapter tip... Read More
The charger features grommets for a convenient way to connect it to a backpack or tent. The eyelets on the corners are great for propping up the panel or hanging it off of something like a backpack while hiking. It comes with many adapters for the lar... Read More
The cell comes with a cloth pouch with a usb connector and a coax port. There is ample room for cables to be stored in the end section's cloth pouch. It has a built-in pouch for storing your phone or whatever you're charging, and/or the array of adapt... Read More
Cons
This solar panel is very thin and lightweight but i'm having my troubles with it. It only works as a charger when in direct sunlight. The setup is not intuitive.
Highlights
Quality
This solar panel is well made and meets its specifications.
This portable solar panel seems well made and well designed.
Don’t expect it to be a fast charger but with actual direct sunlight it charges my phone and my portable charger in less than 6 hours
I have a pixel 6 pro and even on shade it was able to detect something but not charge very well.
Price
It feels a little pricey for 21w, but this does a great job of providing usb charging power when used appropriately.
This affordable solar panel has been a fantastic addition to my outdoor gear, providing reliable charging on the go.
50 per watt whereas this one is $2.
In early may, 2024, i paid $44 for it.
Shipping
By the time we arrive at our destination a few hours later, everything is charged up and ready to go.
Packaging/appearance
In either case the cell is packaged very nicely and is a great solution for emergency recharging or light traveling.
But i will say after unboxing and unpacking everything i noticed that it was generating power in my kitchen under low light conditions!
The box has a red light that glows when it is receiving light and generating power.
I haven't used it yet but it looks nice
Competitiveness
Compare that to my "28-watt" panel that never output more than 6.
While marketed as 21w, my eb3a was only able to muster 15w out of it with what i consider a reasonable mppt controller (it's be... Read More
The 60 watts marbero panels have some weight but not as the 120w panel that i have.
I think some other portable power stations like the jackery use this same connector.
