Pros
The mortar and pestle is very heavy and sturdy. It stays in place while you are crushing herbs and spices. The only issue is that if whatever you're crushing is a little bit moist it sticks to the inside of the mortar.
Beautiful light marble color. Nice and smooth finish. Mine is a bit darker gray then the picture shows. I know my friend will be delighted!
The mortar is textured inside to allow easy grinding. Perfect for making onion powder from dried, minced onions. Used it to crush garlic and cardamom. Only issue is that there was a slight odor of garlic still left even after cleaning.
Cons
The pestle is way too small. It's really hard to crush and grind garlic and anything else. Will be returning due to poor workmanship.

Not knowing whether the problem was the slope or the depth i did the best measurements i could and bought something with different specs

There are some groovesimperfections in the mortar marble that make it difficult to clean at times

Its a little too long and smooth versus a shorter differently designed pestle that has almost two segments in it the handle part then the crushing part

This beautiful little marble mortar came with a very roughly finished interior a surprise almost a disappointment compared to the fine work of the exterior and to the pestle

But upon first use the rough surface became crystal clear it aided in grinding the inserted product to dust in fine fashion

The only fact that i was disappointed is it was supposed to be green marble not white

Now its not huge so when we grind intruders bones to make our bread we have to start with small chipsized pieces
