There is only one button on the battery case so you just click the number of times printed on the case to get the mode you want and it will automatically stay on for 6 hours turn off for 18 hours then repeat from the time you first pushed the button

There is some very small assembly required which consists of one small nut that need to be used to join each half of the star

One of the stars was missing this nut so i had to search my junk drawer to find a replacement

These stars require 3 aa batteries which are not included

No matter the mode the timer will turn off the star after 6 hours and then restart 18 hours later which is nice
