It has a silky smooth side and slightly fleecy feeling side. The smoother side is very cooling - perfect for when i'm feeling hot. The other side has a ribbed fleece like texture for when you need a little warmth.
This is a blanket like no other i have used before. This 2-sided design makes a lovely blanket for all-year usage.
My only gripe is the sizing. The weather for me is pleasant and bearable at 20c. Not outstanding, but does make a hot evening bearable.
Cons
It has horrid lines which are darker grey and the blanket therefore looks badly dyed. They detract from the look of it.

The two sides have opposite effects the shiny side against the skin cools and the towel side works like a lightweight blanket but wicks away the sweat

Suffering from menopausal night sweats nothing seemed to help and kicking off the duvet 10 times a night gave me a rough nights sleep and wasnt pleasant for my hubby either

How you are hotter lying on top of the bed naked than you are when you put this blanket over you is a mystery but it is so cooling on your skin
