Pros

The hood fits a 20-gallon aquarium perfectly.

The hood not only fits well the lighting is bright for daytime mode and the night mode is close to a soft blue. The white light is softer than my old fluorescent, which i like. A soft, shimmery glow.

Cons

The top of the hood is not sealed and the switch is cheap. Suggest you buy a hood with a cut-out or get another brand. It is such a shame as marineland was known for its customer service.

It only covers one side of my aquarium. Gallon long is an idiot because they used the same length light strip for an aquarium that's 6 inches longer. I recommend a simple wire mesh reptile type aquarium screen top with one of many competitors that the... Read More
