The hookup is a clever design and a cinch to employ. Very easy to customize. No fuss, everything fits easily and works.

Beautiful, calming, flowing water. When it is pumping normally it is very quiet. Set up was easy, and much quieter.

The nuts just keep the hose sealed onto the hose barbs.

Marineland is a very good brand. Lots of filtration capacity. Very satisfied. Great filter for a good price.

Plants are started, shrimp and snails are in and doing well. Definitely in the 1b tier behind ahem and fluval.

This product is pathetic and so is the brand. It violates every law of physics. The thing is as cheaply made as you can.

This one works, but is still a pain. Save yourself the headache and choose something else. After about 10-20 compressions, the button got stuck 2/3 way down. They pop off at a bleak of an eye.

The filter comes with hose * for the connection but they are utter *. It just adds air to the system and creates noise and giant burps. The plastic hose clamp is not sufficient to close the gap for air to enter.

Water continues to siphon from the tank until you can safely get the drain lines secure. Rigidity of the tubes makes the outflow difficult to place with the suction cup.
