Pros
The penguin 350 is a quiet and easy-to-install aquarium filter. When it gets noisy, i give it a cleaning at the impeller and it goes back to silent. I miss the nozzle that sprays the bio-wheel.
The marineland hob filter works perfectly for a 55gal tank. It has the best performance for hob filters. This is a filer for a deep aquarium the part that * up the debris is quite long, exactly what i needed.
Cons
Water noise is unbearable. Makes a noise when plugged in but no water is being pumped. All it does it make a really loud grinding noise.

I added a pre-filter to help deal with sucking up sand which makes noise.
It's a great system and night and day better than other pump/filters on the market.
And i will never touch a aquaclear filter again.

This product is good but the design for the water flow to the bio wheel is off the water is not close enough for it to touch the wheel to allow it to spinanother thing it is a powerful filter if you do need to adjust the flow lift up the intake tube a bit by bit you will see water pressure will drop but will still filter your tank perfectly just won’t be able to put the lids on which is a better thing
