Pros
Here's what i learned to make it run smarter and cheaper. It is very easy to remove and replace \clean insert cartridges.
This pump is silent. There's a faint gurgle from water falling back into the tank, but the motor is very quiet. I love that once the filter is actively working in water it doesn't have a mechanic sound.
Filter is made for 30-50 gallons so it does bring a strong current to the tank. Currently have two 400 pros hang on back filers on my 90 gallon goldfish aquarium. Have this on a 55 gallon tank and am very satisfied with performance.
Cons
It's super noisy and doesn’t have enough suction power to even work. It make the most irritating grinding noise. The water return is also extremely noisy.
Took it apart made sure was clean and nothing jammed but its not. Just stopped working. And don’t get me started on the bio-wheel; now there’s a gimmick if i’ve ever seen one.

This unit was much cheaper than the fish/pet stores.
This product is easier and half the price of products we’ve paid double for.

The first ran for 4 yrs before i repaced it

Not because it stopped running but because i got a larger 30 gallon tank i have been running this one now for about 10 yrs and have not had to replace anything on it except the replacable filters

I am revisiting this now because it has started to run a little noisy because the impeller on it has gotten deposits on it and the rubber tips are just too old to hold the metal pin like they used to

It works perfectly but took a few days first motor piece kept on making noises so repositioned it several times that worked noise gone then the water wasn’t spinning the wheels filter so had to reposition both filters to get a full flow of water that spins the wheel l also needed to keep water to top of tank or you will hear the sound of water splashing in the tank so l had to figure out a few thinks make several attempts to adjust all the pieces to make it work correctly
