Pros & Cons
Pros
The water looks clearer and maybe that brown algae that started appearing will go away. Suction is great, haven't had any problems with it moving around or becoming detached. Only kind of drawback is it is so big and can't touch gravel.
Temperature control is via dial. It holds the temperature steady without any fluctuation. It matches my separate thermometer, so accurate, but it's not very fined grained.
It seems for my long 20 gallon i need 150 watt even though the marineland chart shows 75 watt for 20 gallons would work. Warmed my 75gal goldfish tank right up, nothing to complain about.
Cons
Checked the thermometer and sure enough - 72 degrees. Water temp is 80. It's heating, but not to the temp i've set it to. It fills with humidity/ water.
Heater keeps shutting off. I have to turn all the knob all the way to even get it to turn on. Not sure if this is a faulty heater but out of 3 heaters, this is buy far the worse experience i've ever had with one.
One review says it burnt out the second day. One lasted 2 weeks, one lasted one month, one caught on fire after 2 days.

Unfortunately, after 20 plus years, it finally showed signs of ware, with condensation and dripping forming on the inside.
I've had zero issues after 6 months.
Price
I had bought a returned marineland precision submersible heater (50w) because it was half the price of a new one.
Shipping
Free of charge and yes that include free shipping too.
Now 6 days later i'm with a new marineland precision submersible heater (50 watt).
