Pros

Using heater to preheat 20 gallons of r. I. Water. Suction is great, haven't had any problems with it moving around or becoming detached. Set to 86 to have the 36gal tank reach 80-82 in a 70 deg room.

Temperature control is via dial. It holds the temperature steady without any fluctuation. The heater keeps up with ease and the temperature control knob is accurate. It matches my separate thermometer.

Cons

The temperature control on this thing is useless. Our patio is screened in and locked. When i turn the dial all the way down to 70 degrees, this thing still overheats. Used in my 50 gallons tank at 86• water never reach to it close to the set temperat... Read More

This heater is very inconsistent. Could have ended a lot worse; buyer beware. This is suuuuper unreliable.

These marineland heaters on amazon are defective. Amazon needs to add that feature. Complete junk, just spend the extra money and get a fluval.
