It sounds like a hairdryer for reference but not quite as loud. Natural and full-bodied sound that does an excellent job blocking out noises in the room. Uses airflow and vents to change the sound.
It is absolutely incredible. It is amazing. Cant say enough good things. This is great.
Cons
This machine is a nightmare and wakes me up continuously. Its main purpose is to produce white noise--it manages to do abysmally. This thing usually sits around $70, which is absolutely criminal. It's extremely loud!
After about a year it starts to make a rattling sound almost as if there’s a loose part flying around. The vibrations are also not regular. This one is less than a year old and it is already starting to rattle.

We use this primarily as a noise cancellation device so that my partner does not hear my voice as much when i am talking on video conferences i am in the basement and they are on the main floor
