The 'cleats' on the underside are just the right size for standard (medium) thickness carpet. Using this as a carpet protector at bedside for bedbound patients.
Cons
Mat is thin and brittle and a waste of money. This is mostly because it was flimsy on top of the carpet. The little teeth are quite short so unless you have really short/thick carpet, you will want to get a mat with larger teeth.

This is really strong but the first one i purchased lasted a year cause i believe the wheels from the chair might of been touching the mat creating cracks
