Make sure you follow the owners manual on charging procedure and check all metal contacts for oxidation

I read the reviews regarding the latching mechanism and the battery i received seems to snap in to my drill pretty snugly so perhaps the manufacturer addressed the issue

Tip dont leave these on your charger too long i think i killed my genuine craftsman batteries that way despite the smart charger and judging by the other feedback on these batteries id hate to see a catastrophic failure

The red retainer clips on the sides of the battery fit my drill motor fine and the battery does not fall out

My only complaint is that of the 5 screws that hold the battery together two of them were stripped and had fallen out into the box
