Overall, this thing was an awesome find, and the price is extremely reasonable.
I bought this based on many positive reviews and price.
And if i do need it for some reason, external usb disc driver are cheap.

Once thats unscrewed the optical pops right out and once you get a drive into the caddy it slides right in not right in you have to slide it in at an angle and then straighten it out as it enters the front of the original optical drive is a bit of a pain to get off but once you do youll need to break a couple tiny tabs towards the center and it pops right onto the caddy

This laptop came with a 500 gb 5400 rpm drive

I decided to buy an adapter to put the 500 gig hdd into to keep using that for storage

When it came in i looked at the install instructions and it was mentioning some retention lever i could not find one nor anything off hand to keep the hdd in place inside the adapter

After staring at it for a minute and seeing the included screwdriver i realized there were some small holes in the side that the screwdriver just fit into and inside there were some retaining screws
