I read the words locking and assumed the sleeve shown in the picture was some sort of hex key or something

The sleeve enlarges the pin from 12 to 58 to fit in almost any class receiver i cant vouch for a class v receiver but definitely up to a class ivthat being said the quality and construction of this pin is very rugged and it does exactly what it says it will do minus the locking bit that i misinterpretedand i have no doubt that whatever i might have in tow would still be there no matter how long the trip

I did need to buy a 12 washer the first time to slide up to the bottom of the ears to keep it in place

The pin needed to be as long as a 58 pin but had to be the diameter of a 12 pin

I usually like to use lockable hitch pins but this was just a pin for a tilting pivot mechanism
