Pros

This new lock has a 2 part back to it. This essentially doubles the thickness of the back wall of the lock. This lock (versus the old lock) has a plate that covers the entire lock front versus a small plastic sliding cover. Overall this is a fantastic... Read More

The cover provides great protection so no more stuck or rusted away key press. It is very sturdy and weatherproof as well. The cover is a little tough to flip down, but it is a weather protector after all so not really a problem.

Cons

The mounting screws that are provided are not stainless steel there by the rust. No rhyme or reason of how. This box is not 1” deep as advertised.

The combination setting is difficult to manipulate. This wall lockbox is dysfunctional as after setting the code, number 1 won’t stay set for the code.

When trying to pull it open, your finger easily slips and it snaps shut again. Then forget about pressing the release at the top. In the event of an emergency i'm afraid that the emt won't be able to get in to help me.

I needed a lock box to store an auxiliary key incase the garage door spring breaks again, and this worked out perfectly.

I changed the style screw that will anchor the box down….
