The directions suggest using screws i opted for nuts and bolts with washers

I did not want somebody with a crowbar and ripping it out relatively easy when you compare it with sturdy nuts and bolts and washers not impossible but very difficult to rip out thieves are lazy

The lack of a hinge makes this thing super easy to install as there is some give so long as you dont install it to the very edge of its distance

Just screwing it down to a thin wooden door will make a thief want to laugh as they simply pop the hasp off with a crowbar

The hasp does not open outwards it actually comes out a bit then you turn it clockwisecounterclockwise to open it
