Pros

It's sturdy, convenient, utilitarian. It also unlocks and locks very easily.

Solid surface offers less opportunity for water, moisture and contaminants getting into the locking mechanisms. Works great to lock gate and shipping container at our property. Would not use anything else to protect my shipping container.

This master lock is no mere pretender. The tolerances are very tight, but the spring forces are very strong.
