The lock mechanism on one door was 19 years old and the knob and the rod that connects it to the locking mechanism inside the door kept pulling off the door on the inside

One thing you have to watch out for is that these knobs handle 2 different backsets

The door knob comes preset with the 234inch backset and my door had a 238inch backset which means the hole in the lock part of the mechanism did not line up with the door knob post
