Pros

Strong well made lock. Stands up to being used on a 16ft flatbed trailer. Lock is very sturdy and solid. No rust, and the combination wheels still turn freely.

Small annoyance on the lock is that you have to push the hasp into the lock to allow the dial's tumbler to move freely to unlock the lock. They are a bit tricky to get the combo set compared to other locks i've owned like this.

Cons

The finish is the cheapest job i've ever seen on a lock (made in china). Amazon says they have credited my credit card the price of the lock and the $7. These are $20 from hd or lowes. Not the case.

It jams easily, being difficult to open and the combination rotation also jamming. Lock jammed after only two days and had to be cut off. The third locked open flawlessly.

It lines up at a slight angle which could be a good idea if it was better designed. The marks for setting the numbers are not in the center of the bottom, creating confusion for the multiple users that are using my locks. As with a previous reviewer t... Read More

Ocassionally the numbers stick, but all in all, i am very happy with the lock.

Easy to set up and a solid lock with the mechanisms well protected.

It appears the quality on the 175d isn't what it used to be so i switched to these.
