It is too small to securely latch onto the connector. My receiver ball is 2 5/16, but this does not fit over the lip. Took me less than a minute to defeat it. However, a crowbar breaks it in half with one pull in about 5 seconds.
Good grief. It * that bad. Not as advertised. Would not recommend. Approach this product with caution.
Zinc is what matchbox cars are made from; cheap, soft, brittle, weak. I suspect it's a die-cast alloy.

I have one on a 234 hitch on a utility trailer and one on a dump trailers 2 5834 hitch

I am sure if someone really wanted to bust it off they could do so with big enough hammer but that is going to happen to any lock if they really want to steal your trailer
