I grew up with this product in my mothers kitchen during the 40s and 50s.

With the price of this gadget being $9.
I can get better quality for the same amount of money.

But then if i put a hole in the lid, i cannot re-seal the jar.
(it's a lever, then a moving finger that pokes out of the lever, and sticks into a row of teeth on the handle.

I did get it to work as advertised and it is a very helpful device but it also seems a little loose and wobbly

Longer teeth would be nice for some of the harder lids otherwise it will just slide around the lid and eventually wear a groove

This jar opener requires two hands one to hold the jar and the other to use the tool

That one is permanently mounted so it only requires you to use one hand but holding the jar with my arm raised can be difficult for me especially if its a large jar
