Pros

The cart is equipped with 3 inch rubber casters, the front 2 being locking. This slides in on the hangers for the existing pan's setup.

I’m confident that it will do all the things that i need it to. Others have some good tips and tricks for this unit, but as is, it works very well. Works well and these few tweaks, easy to use. Can't wait to use it this weekend.

Smoked 3 pounds of salmon and 10 pounds of pastrami. It smokes wood chunks very well. It turns out some delicious ribs and other meats.

It was packed extremely well. It rolls smooth and allows for easy transport.

The burner is pretty well protected for moderate winds and gusts. The adjustment of burner and vent took me a while to figure out and what worked best was less heat and less vent.



Cons

Sets not use able and am looking to replace with higher quality unit. Due to decay, propane tank hose is no longer properly connecting to burners and i see flames outside and underneath the *.

Really a regretful purchase at this juncture. All parts are * to a location, same location. Obviously it's ruined.

Melted hose, knob, marred front bottom. Rusting all around the burner port and burner unit.

When sliding out of box one of the hinge sleeves for main door, that should be welded onto the * box, fell out of the box. Odds are the door will not seal now as the weld may warp the case or sleeve itself. I had to make spacers to make the door fit.

The water tray had holes that i kept patching with aluminum duct tape.


Was having trouble keeping temps under 275f even on low and wood chips kept catching fire.

Price


After looking it over, for the money, it seemed like a deal worth buying.


At the end of the day it’s a great smoker for a great price if you’re willing to make a few mods.


I was walking through home depot and i saw the masterbuilt smoker for $99.


But you will want to invest into some felt smoker seals it like $15 but worth it.

Packaging/appearance


Pros - packaging and assembly were great.


I also added a broilpro high temp gasket to the box so that i did not have smoke leaking from the top door.


Received it with a dent and got the problem rectified immediately!

Competitiveness


They are both great bbq'ers, so adding the smoker to the mix just makes the meal so much tastier.

    The masterbuilt propane smoker maintained a constant temperature of 200 to 250 depending on what i wanted

    The salmon was smoked for 2 hours and the pastrami for 1216 hours depending on the thickness of the cut
