Pros
The *'s airflow and smoke management can be modded. I made a sheet metal smokestack on the exhaust to keep smoke off the controller. This really puts out very good bbq. From summer sausage, to snack sticks, to briskets it really does a nice job.
The mb20071117 has an insulated body, which helps a ton when you live in colder climates. The digital temp control & timer is very helpful and makes using this * so much easier. Box is pretty well insulated. Keep everything off the heating element... Read More
Cons
In less than one year, another electronics issue. The issue is the chip loader. These devices should be recalled. No matter where on the warranty spectrum you are, they did nothing.
Smoke box is garbage without a external cold * addin. The control panel only allows heating to 275 degrees. Back temp probe is a well known issue.
My disappointment in what remains a highly rated product is high. I hope to try to get a response because i plan to continue to communicate but at this time it's looking to be the biggest let down since using amazon. Never going to purchase any large ... Read More
Great when they work but horrible when they don't. Made in china junk. Customer service is a joke.

Masterbuilt is a brand you can count on.

Over the years we have had several masterbuilt electric smokers.
This is my 2nd masterbuilt smoker, first one wore out due to neglect on not protecting from weather.
