Pros

It smokes a little more than some brands upon first lighting, and sometimes sparks and pops a bit. Burns hot, lasts longer.

Perfect for reverse searing, high heat grilling or low n slow smoking. If you have masterbuilt portable grill, it go combination. Prefect for long cooking times.

Cons

Won’t be purchasing these ever again. This pops and pops never stops once it gets going. Does not seem to add flavor to meat.

Lumps were crushed, small pieces, and also found a piece of metal in the bag. Crushed equals a waste! Major fire hazard. Used other lump coal and did not have the problem.

These lit easily and burned super hot for about 2-3 hours.

In the past i've used charcoal briquets and if my hubby was buying, they were saturated in lighter fluid.

This is a great proud,very inexpensive for wieght and value.
