Pros & Cons

Pros

I am so impressed with it that i plan to purchase another in the future, although i am going to look for one made of thicker material (if it even exists) they have a lot of uses too. They hold up well, and are an affordable piece of gear.

Oversized, but was not too cumbersome to use daily.

Cons

Only one end has the tassel like ties. Very disappointing. Sadly, really shows up.

It says 100%cotton but feels like rayon. Don't wash it.

Quality

The shemagh was well made and seems heavy duty to me.

They are well made and not thin at all.

I purchased this scarf and it is very thin so of course i thought i made a bad choice.

I stained a bunch of my shirts the first time i washed mine.

It does have two holes in it wear the knitting is loose, but for the price, it's an easy fix.

Packaging/appearance

Surprised me with no dye odor when i opened the package!

Item came nicely wrapped in a clear plastic envelope which reminded me of similar inexpensive things made in some cheap overseas place.

Wrap my head and pair it with a mask and i’m ready for grocery shopping.

Opened and sadly found that it had two black stains.

Competitiveness

Having said that, i’ve never been in the middle east so i can’t say how this product compares to the real from that region.

I always get mato and hash; the other brands are garbage.

Theres not much to even compare, as this brand had exactly what i wanted.

This one is about the same quality, although this one is a bit thicker when compared to that old army navy one.

I like the product but be aware you will need to soak and rinse the shemagh many many times to get all the dyes out of the fabric… i wouldn’t be using this thing to filter any water like you see on the survival shows either
