If you put a wall between your phone and the unit it looses connection

It does warn you quickly that it lost connection but you dont automatically reconnect with the device by getting back in range you have to open the application on your phone and tell it to search and then pick the device out

The probes could also use about 12 more inches of wire as i have a large grill and it leaves me very little excess hanging out the probe port that is drilled into my grill so the device is almost up against the grill
