Pros

This is the second i purchased as a gift. My husband has used this thermometer numerous times with his *; it performs well.

It’s not hard to use, works well, and you don’t need to fiddle with all the features to have it be useful. The battery compartment is sealed with two screws and the probe ports are moisture proof with sealing flaps.

Cons

Doing so will deteriorate the wire. The temperature reading on my * reads 275 but on the maverick 210, tried moving the probe same thing.

This product has potential, but mine was definitely inaccurate. Buying this product you are guaranteed a piece of junk.

Very accurate checked against two other therms, excellent range used it with my smoker 4 times so far works very well.

A great feature is the alarm that alerts you to losing a signal as well as temperatures drifting outside of the set range.

The transmitter sits outside (it has a waterproof case) and attaches to the two temperature probes.

It’s not hard to use, works well, and you don’t need to fiddle with all the features to have it be useful.

Price

As a bbq teacher, i've used almost every thermometer on the market with a price range from $20.

Unit arrived in a timely manner with no issues with the packing.

I tested the probes at a few temperatures, comparing them to a high grade thermometer and the results were identical.

The maverick makes smoking and bbq a lot more enjoyable.

I like that a lot more than my other bbq which speaks (it's the one made by oregon scientific).
