The packaging for this item is a cardboard sleeve. Relying on tape to hold is place has proven to be ineffective. The cleaner disk works in my dell laptop, but not in the mac. Maxell online tech support is non-existent.

After the very first cleaning cycle with this disk, the issue was eliminated and the player works great now!

It worked great and my machines are clean again since i have two dvd players.

Restored function to a dvd player that stopped working, and sharpened picture on my other dvd player.

Instructions say can be used 20 times , every 20 hours of use of the dvd player.

Price

If you consider what a professional repair would cost this saves you the money.

For the price, you can’t go wrong.

Packaging/appearance

Packaging is a problem, not to bent the brushes, but if careful the disk will stay in place.

This comes in a nice reusable case.

Competitiveness

I used to own a vhs cleaner from maxell and that was also excellent.

Could be a lot better, but still a good deal.
