Pros

This pump is value priced and very powerful. No issues with restarting after power loss. This powerhead/wave maker is amazing.

If you find these noisy in powerhead mode it's the suction from the top hose. It is a smidge louder than i would like, however it isn't too loud. Came with suction cups to mount.

Cons

Marineland has a problem with quality control and customer service. The warranty is not the best as customer service was less than willing to send a pick-up slip. I have to pay for the shipping to the units they deem not defective. I see no way to con... Read More

The maxi-jet 1200 has been a complete letdown. The magnets inside and the impeller itself are noticeably smaller. It is under-powered given the 230 gph rating and 4.

This includes all the needed attachments to make this a powerhead or a water pump.

Turns out 1200 impellor ffor pump fits in the 900.

I did not know i could switch this between a powerhead and a wave maker with all the parts included.
