This was my first venture away from a more known brand to me, but i don't regret it so far.
It’s significantly faster than my other big name portable drive, although that drive is 4 tb as opposed to 750 mb for this drive.

The answer is that my mcbook has only usbc and hdmi ports while this drive is standard usbc

So you need either a usb to usbc adapter or simply a hub that has a usb port
