Pros
This non-slip pad is really magic. It keeps the rug in place, no slipping at all. It is under a very heavy table, that needs to be moved around from time to time, and will not damage the hardwood.
The underlay provides a perfect base. It's a bit thicker without being too cushioned. Also adds a bit of extra cushioning.
Cons
This rug pad is extremely thin and of low quality felt. I wound up going to a carpet store and having a pad made. If you are looking for something that slightly softens a area carpet - it is fine.

It’s the only way to keep the mat from sliding on the hardwood , works great and is comfortable on the feet.
I love the rubber bottom of this, it works really well with our light carpet on the hardwood
The backing of the mat was unfortunately disintegrating, leaving black sticky bits on the bamboo floor.
There is no plastic smell and my rug does not move!

If that's your situation and you have lvp, you're going to pay $$$ for non-skid, non-lvp damaging underpadding.
Priced more than others but is worth the extra cost.
So far, i've put two of these felt pads under my "affordable" rugs.
Shipping
It arrived a week earlier than expected, zero smell.
Packaging/appearance
The only issue was it came folded in a box and thus there are deep creases in this underlay.
Competitiveness
Compared to other companies offering rubber backed under pads this price was the most reasonable.
This rug pad was significantly less expensive than its competitors on wayfair and overstock.

Not only does the rubber side attach firmly to the wood floor but the felt side also attaches to the underside of the carpets
