I have thin, inexpensive carpet on my stairs so i added these for softness and more comfort walking up and down the stairs.

I had to go to lowe's and buy double-sided carpet tape: almost $30.

Because of the cheap way they were packed, the edges flair up.
It was packaged to where the stair treads were rolled up.
They do have a sticker, showing you where to start, but it's so thin that it tends to sliver, much like wide cellophane packing tape can.
