I bought these for my older dog as she has started leaving a large puddle on my kitchen floor over night i did an experiment on how much they will hold and how fast they absorb liquid they do it very well i poured almost 2 full cups of water rather fast into the middle and it absorbed as fast as i could pour alot less than if my dog peed on the floor the liquid was held as the pad turned to a jelly consistency and nothing leaked below the pad
