Pros
The holder is shaped to grip the paper towel rolls very securely. It just works on simple flex and tension to make it work.
Setup is easy-peasy. Grabbed the drill, applied a bit, held the holder to the dots with one hand, drilled the screws in with the other. Comes with its own matching mounting screws & plastic wall anchors.
The quality of the brushed stainless steel finish is wonderful. I beleive this one will last much longer and it looks pretty good too.
This metal holder is a lot sturdier. It looks great above the stainless sink in our trailers galley. The orb finish matches my 15 year old faucet quite well.
Cons
When you put a new roll on, it's so tight that you have to unroll it manually with your hand. Once you get down to a half-used roll, the whole roll pulls out of the holder when you pull on a sheet. After a year it no longer holds the paper towel roll ... Read More

There is no mechanism in this design and you will learn to use it just by how hard you pull and how to tear them off cleanly without the roll unraveling like many other designs allow

Once i had one side screwed down i put the other side up marked the spot swiveled it out of the way and repeated the process there on that end

Not rocket science for sure but maybe it will help those not so inclined to particle board or solid wood installation
