And the only fault i can find with the lx90 is the finder scope mounting screws.

Jupiter is at the meridian along with the moon and so that has been a help.

it price to quality is outstanding.

But really for a home observatory that is semi-portable, i would go with the meade lx850-acf 16 f8.

I do think that by now this page should make it a little clearer that the price does not include the tripod.

All the parts came complete with it as well, so maybe some shipping errors occurred based off of other fellow reviews which is unfortunate.

The autostar handpiece is okay but very primitive and an app on the ipad would be much better than the handpiece

It takes your current gps coordinates and exact time down to a fraction of a second then just headed for 2 bright stars from its own database asked me to agree it was in the center of the field of view and then said to press enter

At first without having the dew shield on it would start to fog over within an hour or so
