Great book for those exploring shamanism as a novice or to review concepts and practices.
Cons
The writer shares information from an outsider and shares the information way too casually. The book feels hollow to me and not in a hollow bone kind of way.

Medicine for the soul is an excellent book, the best book i have come across so far on shamanic healing.
This is not the quick fix that it may at first seem and is a long way from; read a book, do the exercises, become a healer.
This book covers all the info and training you need to become a healer, but does not offer lots of background, theory, studies or culture.

I read about a book a week and many are on shamanicspiritual practices but i have yet to find one this hands on and practical in the way that do many books promise but rarely deliver

Ross takes a contemporary generic view of the word shaman as anyone who works in a shamanic way to provide healing counselling or divination which is undertaken in partnership with spirit guides allies and helpers

Time needs to be given to the practice between exercises and time left between journeys yet at the same time the work is continuous
