Pros & Cons
Pros
These are a must have if you are having to change bandages for wound care. I was introduced to this product by my wound care nurse. Due to a rare complication of a hip replacement, i have a dressing on my hip that needs to be changed daily.
This product protects my skin from the adhesive reactions that were caused by wearing my cgm device. This protects the skin from adhesives in band aids and other dressings but doesn't interfere with adhesion.
Cons
These are not the skinprep swabs and they do not work for anyone trying to protect their skin from the heinous adhesive that the dexcom g6 sensor upgraded to a few years ago. I love it when medical companies completely change a product without telling... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Drys quickly and enables the bandages to stay for as long as needed.
This is the only product i have found that protects skin from irritating adhesives and helps secure whatever you are applying.
Condom catheters sometimes slip off for various reasons and this puts a tacky substance on my husband so that the condom adhere... Read More
This skin barrier creates a really tacky surface for when replacing your appliances.
Price
Must have for any wound cleaningbut way too expensive for what you gethave to buy now but will not buy again
Insurance wouldn’t pay for these so we had to buy them.
Packaging/appearance
Easy to open packaging make them easy to use.
Sent in a plastic bag, boxes were mashed and all the packets were loose in the package.
The box of 50 wipes came in an amazon bag, as the box is small, and the box was slightly damaged, but still totally useable.
As you can see in the picture though i can't say too much about amazon's packaging choice for the shipment.
Competitiveness
I bought these to see if i can get my dexcom g7 to stick better.
I'm very familiar with brand and it's stocked in a lot of hospitals.
The brand that we were using b4 medline wasn't getting the job done.
