The quality of this toy is top notch. Melissa & doug are always pretty good in the quality department as well. These puzzles are really well made.

Each side depicts a different part of a puzzle picture. Each puzzle also has a different colored outside boarder on all but middle pieces.

These are recommended for age 2 but if on the younger side your kids will just use them as building blocks

To actually build the puzzles it’s better for 5 year olds and even then may need some assistance

Having the tray is helpful for clean up but the one downside is there’s no cover so the pieces can fall out if not stored flat

This block set is no different

But these blocks will be there with him when he is ready and i wouldnt be surprised to see that one day he just solves a puzzle on his own

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I expect this to be a puzzleblock set that can grow with him for at least a couple of years and still have plenty of play left in it for another child if one comes along

Also i think instead of having pictures of the animals on 2 sides of the blocks they could have doen 2 more puzzles instead

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I appreciate the bright colors and animals that engage her interest though shes not old enough to assemble the pictures on her own
