Our toddler son is really into learning the states so we bought this placemat as it is made from a plastic material instead of paper.
Product states that you can use a #2 pencil but i’d be hesitant to use, as pencil has sharp point and after time may mar placemat
Price
These mats are fairly inexpensive, but if you use them daily, i wouldn't expect them to last more than a few months.

We have had it a couple months and look at it once a week she already knows 810 states and can point them out and name them on the map

Would be great to use for kids who are working on memorizing the states as well as the back is blank and a dry erase marker could be used to try and label all the states

I think that the age on this placemat is misleading

I cut off the top that has the age range on it so my child wouldnt feel that it was age inappropriate or for babies
