Absolutely no difference in quality, seams hold well.
Same great filter quality - improved side crimps make using them easier
Although the description says it's for any funnel shaped coffee maker it doesn't work with the chemex.
Read several reviews that had me concerned about the quality of the filters.
Price
A lot of filters to store, but makes the price great.
I had been buying melitta by the box from a local source; this price was too good to pass up.
No negative flavor, and the price is right!
Packaging/appearance
Just the right size to block nose and mouth inside the mask.
Competitiveness
Otherwise, this is much cheaper than paying grocery store prices.
Much cheaper than at our local supermarked.
Using 2 filters at 90 degree angles works but then it's no cheaper than the chemex branded filter.
But it's the only way to get these for a regular price.

That filter works very well with course coffee but not average ground coffee sized granuals

The chemex brewer has a large 12 inch opening at the base of the funnel and the seam on these filters splits open and dumps the grounds

Single boxes of the white ones go for ridiculous prices and in some cases are simply unavailable

I don’t understand the people that are complaining because they’re tearing… do you let me give you one tip read the side of the box of filters where it tells you to fold over the bottom and the side where the seam is
