Pros & Cons
Pros
The padfilter is easy to use and hard to overfill. Although a little pricey, i expect the cost to be worthwhile. Will save money over using pre-packaged pods.
The melitta padfilter makes a perfect fit and a wonderful brew of coffee as long as you follow the instruction of how much coffee per cup to use. Two, single brew cycles with french roast makes the perfect cup of coffee. Easy clean up just by dumping ... Read More
Used in the senseo coffee maker, works fine but sometimes hangs up on the lid of the brewing compartment. The lid seems to close easier than the ecopad, and the design of the filter allows for better flow-through and drainage.
Cons
I feel it is a malicious attack by melitta, and am boycotting their products forever. Making coffee this way is just a big hassle.
The filter prevents the coffee maker from completely sealing. Once you clamp down lid and press botton to make coffee it leaks hot water all over the place, making a big mess. Ruined a perfectly good coffee maker.
Highlights
Quality
I got great results with this product.
I can buy a half a pound of ground coffee (even with the coffee costing more than 8 dollars a pound) and get more than a *month... Read More
As long as you know these things before you buy it, you won't be dissapointed with the product itself.
I bought these pods because they were rated the highest quality to use with the senseo.
Price
Although a little pricey, i expect the cost to be worthwhile.
Packaging/appearance
I just put a regular teaspoon full if coffee grounds in the reuseable filter and away i go.
Last forever- i'm still using the first one i took out of the package a couple of years ago.
Not only was there the waste of throwing away the pod after 1 use, there was the packaging for the pods themselves.
Competitiveness
I bought another brand that cost less to compare.

And the pods were not recyclable due to the coffee grounds because even in my liberal treehugging neck of the woods food scrap recycling plans are still not very wide spread

The issues mentioned with the pods can be solved by two simple steps that a lot of people fail to doread and then actually follow the directions

The only reason for not giving it 5 stars
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Because if you have a big mug you have to fill both pods and run the machine twice
