Pros
Using the ceramic pour over with a basket filter also makes for a stronger cup of coffee. Only drawback is the drip edge on the drip hole doesn't have enough of a drip edge.
Only inconvenience is that the coffee may spill a bit on the side if the coffee maker if it is not perfectly flat. Works great with larger cups too. Perfect for setting on top of your favourite mug.
This ceramic coffee maker is a nice upgrade over the plastic one. Otherwise it is nice to have a ceramic holder.
Cons
Coffee doesn't drip straight down, it dribbles along the sides and out the holes and outside of the mug. Nothing stops the coffee from leaking and overflowing all around the coffee cup.
When filtering, sometimes coffee spills out on the side through the cutouts near the bottom. Bonding of filter edges is very poor and every other cup it lets some unfiltered particles through small holes that open in bonding.

The basket filters do not make the coffee spill out of the ceramic coffee maker like the cone filters do
