The reviews aren't overwhelming, but i decided to chance it, as the bauer version of this is $70.

Shoulder pads hit just below the shoulder covering the upper arm but not the shoulder itself

The shoulder padding takes some of the sting out of shoulder shots i dont have shoulder armor so the zippy ones still hurt and the chest padding is good for the rapier pokes in that region
