This is a plug-and-play device.
Bought the camera as a second moveable camera for my latop. The value is unsurpassed.
Build quality is very light weight and mostly plastic, but for the price and what it delivers, i'm good with it. Decent little webcam, not perfect but does a pretty good job. Very good microphone.
Cons
The hinge is not strong enough, and it would slowly slip down so that my head was barely in the frame. The light bulb icon is for, seeing as this does not have a built in light.

Picture quality:the picture quality is good with the webcam but i have to say it is perhaps the weakest feature.
It's not that the privacy cover had broken off; it's clear that this camera was never made with a privacy cover.

Bottom line - a great and well priced additional camera for computer and online work.

The picture quality is sharp and more clear than a regular webcam or the default computer cam.
In terms of picture quality, i noticed that the color contrast is slight darker (yellow) as compared to other two cameras that i have.

I had some issues with flickering it was fixed by plugging the camera into the computer directly and not a usb hub
