Pros
The meross app tracks electricity usage. The file contains one row per day with the kwh used on that day. Measured kettle at 2.
Ghz and 5ghz networks. It responds instantly to commands, whether it's through the app or voice control. There's also an alexa routine (alexa, charge my phone) set up.
Cons
Meross plug socket works fine but frequently drops connection. Only solution is a full reset which is not acceptable. Have contacted meross support via the app and as of 30/12 haven't received a response.
Meross matter plugs don't connect to apple homekit. Could not connect directly to alexa / echo dot. You can't use a generic app, you need to use the manufacturers app, which is annoying as you will have a number of different apps doing the same thing.... Read More
My advice is to not bother purchasing and pay the little extra to get a smart plug that actually works. This is an exercise in frustration and if that's what your into then this is the piece of kit for you. Seems it’s not robust enough.

Quality
Great plugs easy to set up and work well
The quality of the devices seems quite good.
Shame they don’t appear to do a presence sensor which is next on the list to trigger two sets of lights
A simple click is heard when turning off and on with a led light (which can be turned off) to reassure you it’s on or off.
Price
Went for cheaper option, and ,so far, have absolutely no regrets.
For the price, i have to say that these are an absolute bargain.
Competitiveness
They have a sister company called refoss and that app works in a pretty identical way and has google sync options too.
A lot cheaper then other brands out there and works perfectly fine without compromising.

I found setting the plugs up to be temperamental im using alexa as the base and 1 plug would connect in a matter of minutes and the process went as expected then i would try setting up another one in the same way and i had to come in and out several times to get it to connect
