Pros

I have a complete smart home and there are places where the plugs are behind monitors in my office or behind furniture. Very easy to set up with apple homekit, and has been perfectly reliable.



Cons

These plugs state they are good for 15amps. However now that i’ve inspected it, the box says 120v. These are 10 amp and cannot connect to apple's smart home.

My solution so far has been to uninstall the affected smart plug(s), & re-do set-up from scratch.


Very easy to set up with apple homekit, and has been perfectly reliable.

You really can't beat the price for the overall reliability.


You can also save $$$ by planning your smart home before buying.


It has most of the advantages of thread and matter for a much lower price

They work reliably, come online quickly and generally are exactly as advertised.

Competitiveness


I have begun replacing them with the meross switches and they work perfectly and are a better value that the wemo.


Moreover, their slim design allows two to fit on a standard american outlet.


I have purchased other brands and none work better than meross.


Buying the same brand alleviates this problem.

    I also hate overhead lighting stubbornly lazily refuse to flick on that wall switch

    If i’m forced to flick that wall switch to illuminate a pitchdark room it causes me to have to go into the room to the opposite wall turn on my lamp then return to the other side of the room back to the wall switch to turn off the overhead
